Since their formation in 2011, Pistols at 20 Paces (PA20P) has earned their reputation as a consistently solid live rock act that delivers a show well worth the price of admission.
Formed in Edmonton, AB, Canada, the band has quickly made a name for themselves in the Canadian music scene. Performance highlights in 2012 include appearances at the music & arts festival Boonstock's main stage, supporting the likes of Age of Days, Hellyeah, Volbeat and Korn; a pre-game performance at Canadian Football League team The Edmonton Eskimos' home field Commonweath Stadium as part of SiriusXM Satellite Radio's 'Rock the Grey Cup' contest and a December acoustic performance supporting American rocker Bret Michaels (Poison, Rock of Love, Celebrity Apprentice).
PA20P was announced a regional winner for Edmonton in Canadian Music Week's 2013 Radiostar Contest earning a showcase at CMW in Toronto and a shot at the national prize of $10,000 cash and prizes.
Since their inception, the band has spent time writing and recording material for two EPs (one acoustic, one electric) between their own studio in Edmonton, AB and Vancouver, BC's Warehouse Studios with producer Jeff Dawson (State of Shock, Art of Dying, The Dudes) and mixer Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Aerosmith, Mother Mother).
The band has co-written and produced work with the likes of Trevor Hurst (Econoline Crush, Hurst), and the late Bill Kennedy (Nine Inch Nails, Megadeth, Danzig, Econoline Crush) and have performed, toured and shared the stage with acts such as Sam Roberts, Thornley, State of Shock, Default, Econoline Crush, The Trews, Mobile, Armchair Cynics, Pride Tiger, Hollerado and Crash Karma among others.
Electric and acoustic versions of 'Burn' from the upcoming EPs are available for download on iTunes. Pistols at 20 Paces' acoustic EP is set for release in May 2013.
